Join local fiber artists and farmers at the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Site in Elizabethton, TN for two days of fiber fun! Artists will be on-site to demonstrate a variety of traditional fiber arts and sell their handmade items. Fiber vendors will offer fleeces, yarns, and rovings from locally raised sheep, alpacas, llamas, and goats. This family-friendly event is open to the public, free of charge. Two Roots will have a full selection of yarn, roving, rug yarn, socks, hats and much more

There are about 12 volunteer positions and must be reserved prior to shearing by emailing me at ruthanne@tworootsalpacas.com. If you want to just observe, you still need to let me know. It is a busy, productive but fun day.

Join us for the 4th annual GSM Fiber Fair, where skills are learned, wool is spun, and a fiber enthusiast can shop to their heart’s content! Over 20 vendors are set up throughout the Heritage Center’s 10 acre campus from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day and a variety of classes are offered. Two Roots will have many new yarn lines, roving, rugs, felting supplies, hats, gloves, socks, scarves and more.

The Great Tennessee Yarn Tour is an annual road trip exploring the best local yarn shops and fiber destinations in the state. Saturday, October 25 – (9 am – 5 pm)
Sunday, October 26- (9 am – 4 pm)
The event is located at the WNC Agricultural Center, in Fletcher, NC, across Hwy 280 from the Asheville Regional Airport. (Exit 40 off I-26).
Admission will be $5/person per day. $10 pass for 3 days. Youth under 13 yrs. old will be free. Bring cash! Only at gate..no early ticket sales
